About the Position: This position is located at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, with the Defense Health Agency, Department of Radiology, Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Receive and review requests from physicians and other health care providers for MRI examinations of patients.
- →Perform routine, emergent, and specialized procedures with responsibility for protocols, patient care, and magnet safety.
- →Observe and report patient responses to instructions, movement, touch, etc., if significant.
- →Perform adult and pediatric magnetic resonance imaging of the heart to identify cardiac pathology such as pericarditis, sarcoidosis, thrombus, mass, coronary artery disease, myocardial infarct, and myocardial viability.
- →Develop magnetic resonance imaging training plans for incorporation in other programs of instruction.
