About the Position: This position is located at Martin Army Community Hospital; within Directorate of Clinical Support Department of Radiology at Fort Benning, Ga. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Independently conduct complex 3D and 2D magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans of the head, spine, extremities, and body, ensuring precise image acquisition for diagnostic purposes.
- →Instructs patients by explaining procedures methods, safety precautions, and risks, position them accurately, start intravenous lines (IV) as needed, and produce required images for examinations.
- →Establishes and oversees the maintenance of a quality control program in the MRI Section and participates in the in-service educational program Independently performs complex computerized axial tomographic scanning of heads or bodies.
- →Responsible for all major and minor equipment held in the MRI Section Participates with the decision, when invited, on major equipment purchasing to maintain the most advanced standards to provide proper patient care.
- →Identity's image artifacts to enhance quality, collaborate with radiologists to tailor imaging protocols for both standard and complex cases, and promptly notify physicians of significant findings during exams.
