What You'll Do
- →Responsible for performing technical work in the field of diagnostic radiologic examinations and procedures.
- →Providing modern imaging technology such as Diagnostic Ultrasound, conventional x-ray, and fluoroscopic exams.
- →Administers complete radiologic procedures following physicians' orders and maintains equipment used in the Radiology Department.
- →Performs general radiography which includes, but is not limited to: chest x-rays, colons, UGI's, EXU's, tomography, arthrograms, myelograms, ultrasound, and other contrast studies.
- →Maintains current employee radiograph films and transfers these films to other BOP institutions upon notice of transfer.
- →Attends conferences, medical department meetings, and continuing education classes on current radiology topics.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
