This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
What You'll Do

- →Qualified applicants will be considered and referred every two weeks.
- →The duties of the Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist - CT, include but are not limited to: Conducting CT and X-ray examinations as ordered by physicians, prioritizing emergent and urgent cases from the Emergency Department and inpatient wards.
- →Operating and maintaining CT and X-ray equipment in accordance with established protocols, safety standards, and VA policies.
- →Ensuring accurate patient identification, proper imaging technique, and high-quality images for prompt interpretation.
- →Responding to trauma, stroke, and other critical alerts, providing rapid imaging to facilitate timely diagnosis and treatment.
- →Assisting with patient positioning, monitoring patient status during imaging, and providing compassionate care to veterans during the night shift.
- →Completing required documentation, entering imaging studies into electronic health record systems, and communicating findings to relevant clinicians as appropriate.
- →Adhering to infection control procedures and maintaining cleanliness and readiness of imaging suites.
- →Collaborating with other hospital staff and technologists to ensure continuous coverage and effective workflow during overnight hours.
- →Work Schedule: Nights, Thursday-Saturday, midnight - 12:00pm and alternating Wednesdays 11pm - 7:00 am.
- →Cover 2 holidays per year rotating.
- →Subject to change based on needs of the facility.
