This position is located in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology (DIT), Application Platforms and Delivery Branch of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $315,000.
What You'll Do
- →The incumbent serves as principal advisor to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Chief Privacy Officer and Director of the Division of Information Technology (DIT), and other senior-level FDIC officials for directing end-to-end system or application delivery, including leading and managing a team of six Corporate Managers, their staff and associated contractors.
- →Responsible for all aspects of design, development, deployment, and supports the operations and maintenance of applications, platforms, and other associated systems as needed.
- →The incumbent ensures an enterprise approach is taken to define application strategies and activities in collaboration and coordination with other functional leaders, stakeholders and end-users.
- →Leads the modernization of applications, systems or platforms including human-centered design, development, testing, release management, configuration management, facilitates user training, and ensures the proper day-to-day functioning of business applications in partnership with other CIOO organizations and the business.
- →Leverages methodologies and practices for systems development lifecycle (SDLC), application development lifecycles, Agile, DevSecOps, Product mode, or IT change processes as appropriate; provides input and support on the development of guidance, policies, and documentation related to the SDLC to reflect both waterfall and agile methods.
- →Formulates new policies, guidance, procedures, or other documentation required for the development or deployment of new or existing software services, development, or maintenance.
- →Interprets existing policies, defines objectives, and makes authoritative decisions which establish precedents and/or resolve technical or procedural problems.
- →Initiates agency-wide programs and projects to improve business processes and the technical environment, promote innovative approaches in systems solutions, provide business process improvements and recommend development strategies that support organizational goals.
- →Works collaboratively with the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) to ensure compliance with information security and privacy mandates, and risks are managed to the defined risk appetite and tolerances.
- →Implements secure software development practices.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management authority directly or indirectly through subordinate senior managers to include: planning, assigning, and reviewing work products of subordinates; and establishing guidelines and performance expectations.
- →Works in collaboration with the appropriate Human Resources and Legal staff to administer disciplinary action.
- →Hears and resolves grievances or other disputes as appropriate.
- →Approves/disapproves requests for leave, telework, travel, training, etc.
