About the Role
This position serves as the Deputy Chief Financial Officer (DCFO) for Budget and Policy in the Office of Management for the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA). The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). As a full assistant and Deputy to the CFO, the incumbent shares in the management, supervision, and direction of all VBA financial management operations.
What You'll Do
- →This position is located in the Office of Management and is organizationally aligned under the Assistant Secretary for Management/Chief Financial Officer, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, VBA Ensures compliance of financial policy and procedures to prevent anti-deficiency violations.
- →Assists the CFO in the supervision and direction of financial management operations and staff within VBA.
- →Evaluates VBA's financial operations to ensure the program goals established by the Secretary/OM Leadership.
- →Leads the preparation, justification, and execution oversight of large, complex budgets across program and organizational components, with direct accountability for monitoring financial execution
