About the Position: This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position is located at the Naval Health Clinic Quantico Resource Management Medical Treatment Facility (MTF).
What You'll Do
- →Perform full dental examinations, including oral cancer screenings.
- →Take and interpret radiographs using multiple modalities; distinguish diagnostic from non-diagnostic images.
- →Treatment Areas; oral medicine , restorative and preventive dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral pathology, minor oral surgery, minor periodontics, refer patients to specialists when treatment exceeds scope of practice.
- →Skilled use of dental handpieces and standard dental armamentarium.
- →Knowledgeable in current dental materials Make accurate impressions for models and prostheses, including dentures.
- →Correct minor occlusal discrepancies.
- →Ability to lift or maneuver up to 40 lbs during patient or equipment positioning.
- →Perform fillings, crowns, fixed partial dentures, space maintenance appliances, removable partial dentures.
- →Restore carious lesions; perform pulpectomy, pulpotomy, and endodontic therapy.
- →Utilize digital dentistry equipment.
- →Conduct oral health assessments and X-rays.
- →Provide cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
- →Administer prophylaxis, deep scaling, root planing.
- →Prescribe medications and fluoride.
