About the Role
About the Position: Serves as an assistant primarily supporting a dental specialist. Performs duties in providing assistance in one or more phases of complex/difficult restorative, prosthodontic, oral surgical, endodontic, orthodontic, or periodontal treatment. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Perform inter-oral procedures as directed by dentist.
- →Take preliminary impressions for study models, remove sutures, place and remove rubber dams, perio-packs, matrix bands, and wedges.
- →Operate dental X-ray equipment to take intra and extra-oral radiographs.
- →Maintain, clean, and perform minor repairs on X-ray equipment and materials.
- →Receive and schedule patients for treatment.
- →Sterilize instruments, materials, equipment, and prepare surgical trays.
- →Take and record blood pressure and pulse of oral surgery patients before and after treatment.
- →Aid in the training of trainee dental assistants and students.
