About the Role
This vacancy is being filled via the Direct-Hire Authority (DHA) for a Data Scientist position in the Associate Director for Decennial Census Programs located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Data Scientist, 1560-14, FPL GS-14 positions within the Census Bureau in the same geographical location with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
What You'll Do
- →Lead the planning, development, and implementation of innovative data science applications and tools that use diverse data sources and advanced analytics to generate insights and improve organizational processes.
- →Evaluate and assess emerging data and technology solutions to determine their effectiveness, identify limitations, and provide recommendations for implementing new technologies and solutions.
- →Lead advanced data science research by developing and applying analytical models, computational methods, and data systems to generate insights and support agency programs.
- →Lead organizational data science transformation by advancing innovative analytical capabilities, modernizing data systems and tools, and guiding the adoption of emerging data science practices across the enterprise.
