About the Role
The Division of Trading and Markets is seeking a forward-thinking dynamic Data Scientist-Data Officer (Data and Records Information Officer) with strong skills in modern data platforms, advanced analysis technologies and information management to support data driven informed decision-making and innovation. This position requires a blend of technical depth, legal and regulatory understanding, collaboration and communication skills, and a creative, solution-oriented mindset and passion for data.
What You'll Do
- →In this role as a Data and Records Information Officer, you will be responsible for: Developing, planning, communicating, implementing, and managing data architecture and data solutions that enable division staff to fully leverage SEC data in a secure, efficient, and impactful way.
- →Working in close collaboration with the Office of the Chief Data Officer, the Office of Information Technology, Office of Records Management Services and the division user community.
- →Serving as the division's subject matter expert for data and records initiatives, providing hands-on leadership and technical direction for data and records projects.
- →Conducting assessments of emerging data and IT trends, actively participating in working groups, and providing recommendations on new technologies.
- →Contributing to the development, testing, and validation of data products and solutions to meet division and SEC needs.
- →Providing expert analysis and guidance on existing and proposed data sources, data models, data infrastructure, data services, and data management practices.
- →Delivering timely, clear, and actionable technical and data solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- →Preparing and communicating guidance on complex data issues using a variety of visual and analytical formats.
- →Providing advanced technical expertise in the design, development, implementation, and oversight of innovative technologies and platforms that support data access and data usage.
- →Leads or conducts comprehensive studies, surveys, reviews, and research projects involving complex or unstructured data.
Requirements
