This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The position is responsible for dam operations and maintenance of dams and dam equipment across a range of geographical locations.
What You'll Do
- →Maintains dam, dam site, and reservoir area in good condition.
- →Operates vehicles including 5 ton dump truck; a 1 ton pickup truck; a tractor; and several accessory items such as mower attachment, front end loader, backhoe, plow, disk spreader and drill.
- →Receives visitors at the dam sites, explaining the dams function and conducting information tours of the facilities.
- →Performs minor mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, concrete, and fencing at the sub-journeyman level.
- →Performs preventive maintenance on equipment, hydraulic systems, hoists, pumps and stand-by generator.
