About the Role

This position is located at Fort Carson, Colorado. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee applicable to employees working at least 15 hours per week: First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will be paid. A relocation incentive up to the amount of $10,000 is authorized.

What You'll Do

  • Provides program oversight and accountability for the performance of staff and the safety and well being of children and youth IAW Department of Defense (DoD), Army and local policies and standards.
  • Recruits and hires qualified personnel utilizing Army CYS Standard Position Descriptions.
  • Supervises program administrators and/or directors/managers; CYS Specialists, CYS Trainers and other staff assigned directly to CYS.
  • Coordinates management of funds and resources to include developing the annual budget for the installation CYS program that includes submission and prioritization of all program component requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains an active program of parental involvement, providing parent education opportunities and encouraging parent observation and participation.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert on installation child and youth services issues.
  • Prepares reports, surveys, and briefings for command and installation on matters pertaining to CYS.
  • Supports all EEO and AA objectives.
