About the Position: This position is with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mission Support Battalion with a duty station location of Alexandria, VA.
What You'll Do
- →Technical expert and principal advisor in all aspects of the administration of an effective program.
- →Reviews and interprets a wide range of payroll law, policy, regulation, directive, and DCPS Payroll Office Advisory Releases, regarding the payroll systems and procedures.
- →Reviews, verifies, and processes a variety of payroll and time and attendance data impacting pay, electronic fund transfer (EFT), payroll deposits, leave, taxes, benefits, other deductions, and master employee record (MER) information.
- →Interfaces verbally and on-line with DFAS payroll technicians, to resolve payroll issues such as missing time, leave conversion, special pay, or miscellaneous inquiries.
- →Independently audits historic transactions affecting an individual employee or class of employees; prepares corrections and documentation to DFAS and CPAC to correct pay and leave errors.
- →Provides training to subordinate staff on new systems or modification to existing ones.
