This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is for a Crane Operator, XF-5725-13 with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Little Rock, Operations Division, McClellan-Kerr Project Office. Located in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
What You'll Do
- →Independently responsible for the technical and safe operation of equipment when carrying put work assignments.
- →Serve as the primary operator of a large barge mounted crane (285-ton capacity, and 200-foot boom) required in the maintenance and repair of navigation locks and dams and the navigation channel on the McClelland-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System.
- →During 24-hour operations, is responsible for passing on instruction to other shift operators of the crane to assure continuity and safety of operations and proper operations and maintenance of the equipment.
- →Maneuverability of the crane is highly restricted and accuracy is very critical in most of the operations.
