As a Contract Specialist (Senior), you will be a Warranted Contracting Officer that works closely with program offices to determine acquisition needs: and to develop, implement and review contracting plans for pre-award, post-award, and price/cost analysis.
What You'll Do
- →Solicit, negotiate, administer, close-out and terminate purchase orders and contracts as a Warranted Contracting Officer.
- →Acquire a wide variety of commodities including furniture, telecommunication equipment; and various services and maintenance efforts.
- →Develop, implement and review contracting actions for pre-award, post-award, price/cost analysis, and a wide variety of procurement activities.
- →Train junior team members in methods and techniques in the administrative procedures as well as the technical requirements of the job.
- →Prepares and maintains current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone chart, and related schedules.
Requirements
- ✓Conditions of Employment: You must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or U.S.
- ✓Residency Requirement: There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by U.S.
- ✓Citizenship and Immigration Services.
- ✓This residency requirement states that candidates must have, for three of the last five years immediately prior to applying for this position; (1) resided in the United States; OR (2) worked for the United States Government as an employee overseas in a Federal or Military capacity, OR (3) been a dependent of a U.S.
- ✓Federal or Military employee serving overseas.
- ✓Probationary Period: You may be required to serve a probationary period of 1 year.
- ✓EDUCATIONAL SUBSTITUTION: There is no educational substitution at this grade level.
- ✓Basic Education Requirement: You must submit a copy of your college transcript(s) (unofficial is acceptable) to support the basic educational requirement or a list of coursework with hours completed.
- ✓For verification purposes, the transcript submitted must include your name and educational institution.
