About the Position: Serves as principal quality assurance representative and Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) with responsibility for technical administration, inspection, control and acceptance of assigned work performed under contract.
What You'll Do
- →Perform preliminary, in-progress, and final technical inspection of assigned construction contract work including the larger andmore complex projects for which the DPW has responsibility.
- →Conduct pre-final and final inspections to determine compliance with all provisions of contract.
- →Establish and maintain the official COR record file for the project, recording facts concerning work activity, work force, equipment in use, progress payments, correspondence, contract changes, directives, etc.
- →Provide technical inspection support for major construction projects.
- →Interpret plans and specifications, discuss proposed changes, matters relative to adequacy of equipment and labor skills, work stoppages and lags in construction.
