About the Role
You will serve as a Construction Analyst for the Small Business Administration (SBA), Damage Verification Center (DVC). This position performs technical analysis and evaluation of disaster-related losses and restoration requirements across a broad range of residential, commercial, and business property types. The work directly impacts the timeliness, accuracy, and quality of disaster loss verification and loan processing within SBA's disaster recovery program.
What You'll Do
- →As a Construction Analyst at the GS-0828-12, some of your typical work assignments may include: Verify cause and extent of damage to residential and business structures and facilities characterized by complex design features.
- →Approve loss verification reports, which includes making determinations as to the accuracy and completeness of the report.
- →Verify cause and examines damage to the business machinery and equipment, raw materials, work in progress, finished goods, and inventories to determine cost of repair and replacement.
- →Determine pre-disaster condition of all disaster damaged property.
- →Coordinate disaster damage surveys (PDAs), in coordination with FEMA, state and local officials.
Requirements

- ✓Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards qualifications (particularly positions with a positive education requirement.) Therefore, applicants must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions recognized by the U.S.
