What You'll Do
- →If selected at the GS-07 or GS-09 level, duties will be performed in a developmental capacity.
- →Serve as Clothing Designer (Patterns) and technical consultant in the Technical Support Branch.
- →Serve as Clothing Designer (Patterns) to create custom patterns for Service members.
- →Serve as a team member, responsible for evaluating, maintaining, drafting, and developing master patterns including patterns for unique uses such as life support clothing for military clothing, equipage items, and uniform apparel.
- →Maintain inventory of CAD and paper patterns from DoD/other Federal agencies; collaborates with Service CAD offices to assure that CAD products are complete and suitable for production use by DLA vendors.
- →Develop and draft special measurement patterns through the utilization of a computer aided design (CAD) system and through the manual modification of existing hard paper patterns.
- →Evaluate computerized patterns generated by all of the Services and contractors for compliance with requirements.
- →Recommend major modifications to the patterns for a wide variety of garments for all the services.

- ✓If you cannot obtain your graduate school's definition of one year of graduate study, 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours) should be considered as satisfying the requirement for one year of full-time graduate study.
