About the Position: This position is located in Honolulu, HI at Tripler Army Medical Center in the Department of Behavioral Health. Tripler Army Medical Center is a tobacco-free workplace. What You'll Do
- →Performs biopsychosocial evaluations, mental health diagnoses, and provides brief, problem-focused interventions (e.g., CBT).
- →Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive and motivational approaches.
- →Act as the primary authority on psychology within the clinic, advising Primary Care Managers (PCMs) and other medical staff on treatment plans and referral sources.
- →Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of patient care in accordance with federal, DoD, DHA, and hospital regulations.
- →Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
- →Provides expertise on human behavior to optimize health outcomes and serves as a consultant for high-risk factors like suicide and trauma history.
- →Focuses on "warm handoffs" immediate transitions from primary care to behavioral health) and "scrubbing" appointment lists to increase clinical productivity.
- →Monitors objective behavioral outcome measures and reviews statistical data to modify program goals.
- →Independently provides professional psychological services for children, adolescents, and family members.
