About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Branch Health Clinic Mid-South, Dir of Mental Health. This position is as a Mental Health Consultant (MHC). As such, the employee will be physically located within the Primary Care clinic and serve as a consultant to the Primary Care team. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation utilizing DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions.
- →Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
- →Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
- →Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
- →Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
