About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at WRNMMC with the Directorate for Clinical Support, Department of Pathology, Core Lab in Bethesda, MD. Full time position, 2nd shift 3:00pm-11:30pm (1500-2330). Not rotating, no travel/on-call. Requires occasional weekends/holidays. Mission Essential. Not eligible for telework. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Conduct high complexity patient testing in a Clinical Pathology Service to include, but not limited to, chemistry and hematology pre-analytics and automation, immunoassays, coagulation, differentials, etc., in a high volume, fast paced environment.
- →Perform all duties in compliance with quality control, quality assurance, proficiency testing, safety requirements, and standards set by the College of American Pathologists and local, state, and federal agencies.
- →Support all laboratory equipment and take appropriate corrective actions should quality control and/or performance indicators fail.
- →Work in the best interest of the government to minimize costs, use resources wisely, and provide accurate and timely patient results.
