About the Role
Responsible and accountable for elements of the nursing process, influences outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates the following core informatics functions to include content management, application support, health information technology system optimization, enterprise data management, business architecture management, partnership management, requirements management, and change management.
What You'll Do
- →Informaticist Registered Nurse (RN) exercises leadership in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of hardware and software application integrated with the electronic health record (EHR) and associated programs/applications.
- →The Informaticist collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, including other program and service leaders at the facility and network.
- →They work closely to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of Veteran Affairs (VA) staff nationwide.
- →The focus is on individual growth and development in practice with increased levels of self-direction.
- →The Informaticist brings principles and theory with limited application of critical thinking skills.
- →Subject to change based on agency needs.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
- ✓All applicants tentatively selected for VA employment in a testing designated position are subject to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
