This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DOD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This is a Civil Engineer, GS-0810-12 position for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, Port Arthur Resident Office located in Port Arthur, TX A recruitment/relocation incentive MAY be offered. What You'll Do
- →Review requests for modifications to original design to make recommendations.
- →Review contractors shop drawings for construction projects to make recommendations.
- →Initiate modifications due to conditions encountered during the construction process.
- →Administer contracts related to construction or maintenance to ensure projects are completed.
- →Perform negotiations with contractors for settlement or dispute resolution over contract requirements.
- →Review construction contractor progress schedules for adequacy or completeness.
