This is a Direct Hire Authority solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: At the full performance level, you will serve as a senior level engineer. You will conduct hydrologic, hydraulic, and sediment transport studies of flood control projects involving dams, debris basins, levees, and channels.
What You'll Do
- →At the full performance level, you will Perform technical review of Hydraulic and Hydrology products and Architecture/Engineering (A/E) contractor products.
- →Conduct independent planning, design, and evaluation of complex flood control projects involving levees, dams, channels, and water control features.
- →Develop advanced Hydraulic and Hydrology models to evaluate channel stability, sediment transportation, flood risk and infrastructure resiliency, and geomorphic change.
- →Perform comprehensive project study plans.
- →Develop detailed labor, resource, and schedule estimates.
- →Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
