You will serve as a CIVIL ENGINEER. Make a difference in the West by assisting in meeting increasing water demands while protecting the environment. Duty Location: Durango, CO, Grand Junction, CO, Salt Lake City, UT . May involve occasional travel up to 10% of the time (some overnight stays) to attend meetings, conferences, training, site visits, etc. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes. First time hires to the Federal government normally start at the step 1 rate.
What You'll Do
- →As a Civil Engineer, you will perform the following duties: Assist in a variety of operations at Colorado River Storage Project (CRSP) facilities and projects to meet obligations, environmental requirements, and regulatory requirements.
- →Use computer models to simulate, analyze, plan reservoir operations, and inform decisions.
- →Participate on and/or lead technical work groups or teams for hydrologic investigations.
- →Develop, modify, and utilize databases to maintain hydrologic or engineering data for conducting operational and planning analyses.
- →Interpret, analyze, and evaluate hydrologic and engineering data on a regular basis.
- →Work on complex or controversial water issues whose solutions require a proven understanding of hydrology, engineering, water resource and reservoir management, and other applicable disciplines.
- →Provide current information on policy, resource management, water regulations, and technical requirements to stakeholders.
