This vacancy is for a Chief of Staff in the National Telecommunications and Information Administration within the Department of Commerce.
What You'll Do
- →As a Chief of Staff, you will perform the following duties: Provides authoritative interpretation of an organization's policies and strategic goals to ensure that all established programs and operations are administered.
- →Coordinates the execution of an organization's obligations and exercises delegated authority to resolve inter-office program and policy challenges.
- →Directs and oversees a broad portfolio of high-level strategic projects, encompassing the implementation of operational plans, personnel accountability and management, organizational structures, and long-range strategic policies.
- →Provides comprehensive oversight and coordination of an organization's administrative management operations, to include but not limited to financial management, budget planning, and human resource requirements.
- →Conducts reviews of current monetary and staff resource allocations, project management, and reporting on the status of an organization's operations.
- →Coordinates critical administrative functions such as correspondence management, executive scheduling, travel, records management, and comprehensive executive support services to implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and customer service Oversees the strategic planning, development, and execution of procurement strategies essential for mission requirements.
- →Coordinates with contracting officers, Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), program managers, and legal counsel to develop comprehensive requirements packages, statements of work, and acquisition plans.
- →Provides expert technical oversight and administration to include monitoring of contractor performance, thorough review of deliverables, validation of invoices, and ensuring absolute compliance with contract terms and conditions.
- →Supports the entire acquisition lifecycle management to ensure all COR responsibilities are executed in strict accordance with federal regulations and agency guidance.
- →Develops work plans, prioritizes work, and makes assignments considering difficulty and complexity of work and incumbent capabilities to support staff.
- →Provides advice, counsel, and instruction of both technical and administrative matters to ensure policies and procedures are in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- →Develops and/or supports career plans to make provisions for training and professional development needs of subordinates.
- →This Job Opportunity Announcement may be used to fill other Chief of Staff GS-0301-15, FPL 15 positions within the Department of Commerce in the same geographical location or local commuting area with the same qualifications and specialized experience.
