About the Position: Serves as the Chief of Executive Services and the principal strategic authority for executive and diplomatic protocol for United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM). The incumbent operates with autonomy, bearing sole authority and responsibility for the comprehensive management of the Combatant Command's Executive Services portfolio.
What You'll Do
- →Directs, oversees, and manages the comprehensive activities of the Executive Services Office, exercising full managerial authority over a highly complex, multi-component program.
- →Manages USAFRICOM’s strategic protocol program spanning across the 53-country Area of Responsibility (AOR) and European headquarters.
- →Serves as the USAFRICOM focal point and principal authority for sensitive engagements.
- →Directs the planning and execution of high-level distinguished visits, international conferences and summits, and command social functions across the European and African continents.
- →Provides general administrative and policy direction defining the assignment in terms of broad mission statements.
- →Plans, schedules, assigns, and evaluates work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of the work directed.
- →Exercises fiduciary authority, or manages, of ORF allocations and oversees Command Gift Program to align to all legal and policy requirements.
- →Supervises complex teams with diverse duties to include strong understanding of international diplomatic protocol, honors, customs and courtesies.
- →Executes short- and long-range organizational planning and strategic resource alignment.
- →Executes oversight of complex logistical footprints to ensure execution of executive events in foreign countries and on US bases.
- →Integrates executive transportation and security operations for support to GO/FO/SES activities and foreign dignitaries.
- →Oversees execution of high-visibility events, integrating and mitigating risks associated with force protection, emergency medical contingencies, and public affairs sensitivities in high-threat environments.
