Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Boston Field Office, Border Security Division, located in Boston, MA
What You'll Do
- →Joining the Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations will allow you to use your expertise to manage one or more national programs in order to help to detect and prevent terrorists and instruments of terror from entering/exiting the U.S.
- →Apply for this exciting opportunity to direct programs that strengthen the Department's ability to perform homeland security.
- →This position starts at a salary of $123,885.00 (GS-13, Step 1) to$161,053.00 (GS-13, Step 10) In accordance with CBP Directive No. 1335-018, U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection Rotation Program and to meet agency needs, this position will be filled on a temporary basis not-to-exceed (NTE) 1 year, with possible extension(s) for an additional 2 year(s), for a maximum of 3 years.
- →You may be returned, at any time, to the permanent assignment within the Boston Field Office.
- →The Boston Field Office may utilize flexibility to be placed within any sub-office/directorate and to place you in the same or similar position with equivalent grade and pay.
- →The return is not subject to the procedures found in 5 C.F.R. §§ 351, 432, 752, and 771.
- →You may be returned, at any time, to the position you held prior to this temporary promotion or to a different position of equivalent grade and pay, and that the return is not subject to the procedures found in 5 C.F.R. §§ 351,432, 752, and 771. n.
- →All Selectees will be required to sign an Employee Rotational Agreement as a condition of employment.
- →Typical work assignments include: Utilizing broad and extensive knowledge of laws and procedures to respond to changing initiatives and threats.
- →Gathering and analyzing of information from all available sources such as intelligence reports and various databases.
- →Establishing and maintaining mutual communication among Federal agencies, with the general public and other stake holders including internal or external, foreign or domestic audiences.
- →Providing written responses to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and other CBP components.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.

- ✓Motor Vehicle Operation: You must possess the Ability to operate a Government Owned Vehicle.
- ✓A valid, non-restricted driver's license is required.
