What You'll Do
- →Major Duties include, but are not limited to: Responsible for providing competent, evidence-based procedural care to assigned patients and oversight of staff, including but not limited to licensed vocational/practical nurses and/or health technicians/nursing assistants, as appropriate in the pre/post procedural setting.
- →Assist in directing the provision of nursing education, orientation, competencies, and providing quality improvement and outcomes utilization.
- →Delivers and manages the care of patients undergoing therapeutic and diagnostic cardiology procedures including both inpatients and outpatients.
- →Assesses the patients physical and mental status prior to procedures, educates on procedural and pre/post-procedural care, and documents responses to interventions, findings, and reports any changes.
- →Partners with the patient, family, an interdisciplinary team to promote effective and safe transitions across the health care continuum, including Veteran's goals of care.
- →Provides patient care, care coordination, health promotion, health education and coaching.
- →May function in several roles to include, pre-procedure assessments, post procedural recovery, and assisting providers during procedures.
- →Maintain proficiency on the maintenance, cleaning, and preparation of cardiology specific equipment.
- →May be assigned call, in which the CCL RN will follow all facility policies regarding response time.
- →This position potentially requires flexibility in schedule and assignments.
- →All other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
