You will serve as a BUSINESS and STRATEGIC PLANNING MANAGER in the BUSINESS and STRATEGIC PLANNING OFFICE (Code 1201) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
What You'll Do
- →You will be responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of business operations and strategic planning for the shipyard.
- →You will plan, organize and direct the activities of the Business and Strategic Planning Office, ensuring that the Department complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
- →You will delegate authority to subordinate Division Heads and provide policy and technical guidance to subordinates and periodically reviews the results.
- →You will resolve technical, policy or procedural questions that require unique solutions or establishes Navy-wide precedent.
- →You will be the Shipyard expert and serve as the Shipyard spokesperson with the public, the media, regulatory agencies, and local/state/international governments on all business-related matters.
- →You will fully support the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs and ensure cooperation of employees with EEO office officials.
- →You will work with the Comptroller to approve proposed personnel and financial operating budgets.
- →You will and ensure proposed budgets or changes to approved resource budgets are consistent with forecast requirements and overall shipyard, NAVSEA, and Fleet policies.
- →You will accept submarine, surface ship and Other Productive Work (OPW) and monitors all work acceptance through assigned managers and business agents.
- →You will forecast workload and long-range scheduling for all shipyard work and keeps the Department Heads apprised of the requirements for upcoming workload.
- →You will determine overall strategic requirements for personnel, facilities, shipyard modernization planning and plant equipment.
