About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Supports the lead or primary budget analyst responsible for the Directorate of Public Works budget planning.
What You'll Do
- →Assists with preparing monthly spend plans by Management Decision Package (MDEP) and commitment item.
- →Provides input on various funding presentations for Directorate of Public Works leadership decision-making.
- →Recommends the lead or primary program analyst of spending targets and monitors purchase requests against those targets.
- →Conducts monthly reconciliations of obligations to Program Budget Guidance (PBG), spend plans, and Management Decision Package (MDEP) dashboards from the local Resource Management Office (RMO).
- →Analyzes and identifies the significance of execution and cost deviations from budget and recommends corrective actions to the lead or primary program analyst.
- →Reviews miscellaneous pay transactions for accuracy and completeness and advises the lead or primary program analyst of determinations.
- →Assist the lead or primary program analyst with advice and guidance to the organization in the interpretation and application of procedural guides and policy directives concerning work classification, facility ownership, and funding sources.
- →Supports the lead or primary program analyst with reporting quarterly resources planned and consumed (to include manpower), identifying anomalies, and advising corrective action.
- →Aids in preparing briefings and information papers for leadership decision-making, conferences, and training sessions.
