About the Role
About the Position: Serves as the senior Budget Analyst in the Resource Management Office performing a variety of budgetary and financial duties in the development of the District's Operating Budget, administration and control of funds and compliance with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) requirements.
What You'll Do
- →Administers complex, multi-sourced budgets (appropriations, revolving, and reimbursable funds) and provides strategic advice to leadership regarding funding issues, legislative impacts, and budget limitations.
- →Develops the annual district operating budget, ensuring gross and net charges are accurately formulated through comprehensive coordination across all internal offices.
- →Monitors actual expenditures against budgeted amounts for overhead accounts, investigates significant variances, and collaborates with organization chiefs to implement necessary remedies.
- →Analyzes program guidance from higher headquarters for military and civil functions, ensuring that all data, estimates, and execution plans comply with prescribed laws, policies, and regulations.
- →Tracks fund utilization trends, prepares periodic cost and performance reports, and delivers formal budgetary briefings to the Commander, PBAC, and other key officials.
