About the Role
About the Position: This is a permanent Budget Analyst position with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District Resource Management Office. This position is located in Concord, MA. Position(s) will be filled at the GS-05, GS-07, GS-09, GS-11 or GS-12 grade level.
What You'll Do
- →Duties described reflect the full performance GS-12 level.
- →Duties will be performed in a developmental capacity under close supervision.
- →Distribute allocated funds within an automated financial system in accordance with budgeted amounts.
- →Develop budget execution plans within an automated financial system to meet time-phased requirements.
- →Analyze trends in fund utilization to prepare cost and performance reports.
- →Investigate significant variances from the budget.
- →Provide budgetary advice to division chiefs and administrative staff.
- →Explain budget limitations and program requirements to leadership.
- →Analyze program and budget guidance to determine the impact on operations.
- →Review requests for the reprogramming of funds to ensure local approval limitations.
- →Analyze the reasonableness of data and the consistency of estimates.
