What You'll Do
- →As a Budget Analyst your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Leading the development, execution, and continuous improvement of the organization's budget programs.
- →Evaluating program financial plans and operational cost structures to ensure alignment with authorized levels and strategic direction.
- →Contributing to workforce planning decisions by analyzing labor cost scenarios, full-time equivalent (FTE) utilization, and staffing sustainability.
- →Collaborating with organizational and bureau-level financial management offices to synchronize accounting data with program execution information.
- →Responsible for the full execution cycle for appropriated funds, including apportionments, sub allotments, operating plans, reprogramming actions, and distribution of supplemental/emergency funding.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.

- ✓Suitability for Federal employment, as determined by background investigation.

- ✓Merit promotion applicants must meet time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F.
- ✓Any individual who is currently holding, or has held within the previous 52 weeks, a General Schedule position under non-temporary appointment in the competitive or excepted service, must meet time-in-grade requirements (must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent in the Federal service); with few exceptions as outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
- ✓Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal civilian employees applying for reinstatement who have had a break in service of less than one year, as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointments.
- ✓Time-in-grade does not apply to new excepted service appointments and must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
- ✓You may be required to travel overnight away from home up to 5 nights per month.
- ✓You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
- ✓Under applicable law, the employment of an individual serving a probationary period automatically terminates when that period ends unless the agency affirmatively certifies, in writing, that the individual's employment should continue and that their appointment should be finalized.
