About the Role
This position is a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-11 working for the US Wildland Fire Service. This position may be filled at either Anchorage, Alaska, or Fairbanks, Alaska.
What You'll Do
- →As a Budget Analyst, your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Serves as a budget and financial management advisor to program leadership within the wildland fire mission environment providing recommendations throughout all phases of the budget lifecycle, including formulation, congressional and departmental justification, execution, monitoring, and performance evaluation.
- →Develops and presents budget justifications, funding requests, and financial decision support products using analysis of legislative authorities, strategic plans, workload projections, operational priorities, historical expenditures, and cost trends.
- →Conducts reviews of financial plans, spending projections, and budget execution performance against allowances and apportionments.
- →Provides technical assistance and training to program managers, analysts, and budget system users on financial requirements, reporting protocols, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
