About the Role
About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the HQ USSOUTHCOM, Security and Intelligence Directorate, Doral Miami, Florida.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as the Senior Budget Analyst, providing Requirement Planning, Programming, Budget Execution, and control funds in compliance with application laws, regulations, policies, precedents, methods, and techniques.
- →Supports joint, warfighting, geographic combatant command's headquarters, and its component and subordinate organizations.
- →Serves as advisor to the resource manager and other key members of the staff on matters pertaining to assigned programs.
- →Monitors execution, commitment, obligation, accrual, disbursement, and expenditures to assure funds are properly allocated.
- →Prepares a variety of fund status reports and provides advice to staff and managers on fund execution and availability status.
- →Executes multiple contracts, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), G-Army purchases, and travel and purchase card transactions.
- →Participates in routine budget meetings, monthly financial management board, and advises on the financial status, progress and accomplishments.
