About the Role
About the Position: Serve as a Budget Analyst within the U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM) Comptroller Office. USAFRICOM. Formulate, execute, and analyze multi-appropriation command budgets to support POM and FYDP requirements. You track fund execution, manage automated financial ledgers (e.g., GFEBS, DAI) in accordance with fiscal law, resolve funding shortfalls, and deliver executive financial briefings to command leadership.
What You'll Do
- →Formulate complex multi-appropriation command budgets and programming documentation to justify Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) requirements.
- →Monitor the execution, obligation, and disbursement of program funds to identify reprogramming actions, shortfalls, and operational budget adjustments.
- →Reconcile accounting ledgers and commitment/obligation records within automated financial systems to ensure compliance with fiscal law, appropriation guidelines, and bona fide need principles.
- →Develop analytical briefings, information papers, and financial reports to provide decision-making support and recommendations to senior command leadership.
