About the Role
The United States Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania's mission is to investigate, prosecute and deter violations of federal statutes, enforce and represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, uphold civil, constitutional and victims' rights, and foster partnerships with other federal, state and local government agencies and community groups. What You'll Do
- →This Budget Analyst provides budgetary and financial support, including tracking funds, reviewing expenditures, preparing reports, assisting with budget requests, and advising management on funding issues.
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Budget Analyst support in the U.S.
- →Attorney's Office, Eastern District of Pennsylvania, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, focusing in the areas of budget administration, financial management, and accounting and financial reporting functions.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Collecting, consolidating, and analyzing narrative and statistical data to support budget formulation, financial reporting, and operational decision-making.
- →Researching and interpreting legal, regulatory, programmatic, and budgetary guidance to ensure compliance and inform fiscal planning.
- →Monitoring, tracking, and verifying obligations and expenditures to confirm timely execution in accordance with applicable regulatory controls.
- →Preparing annual administrative budgets, operating plans, and a wide variety of budgetary reports using outputs from the financial management system.
- →Analyzing expenditure trends and cost drivers to identify variables impacting program costs and recommend adjustments for improved efficiency.
Requirements
