About the Role
This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense using hiring authority in 5 USC 9905. Veterans Preference: Veterans preference does not apply under this Direct-Hire Authority (DHA).
What You'll Do
- →Assists in the consolidation of budget inputs and data from various sources to develop budgetary of reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- →Participates in POM and Budget review meetings by aiding in the preparation of materials and supporting the review of budget change justification narratives.
- →Supports the development and implementation of standardized budget procedures for both the General Fund (GF) and Defense Working Capital Fund (DWCF).
- →Reviews detailed written justifications for annual and multi-year appropriations to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with guidance.
- →Aids in the collection and submission of the agency's Budget Estimate Submission (BES) and President's Budget (PB) data and justification materials..
Requirements
- ✓Substitution of education for the specialized experience requirement at the GS-05 grade level: 4 academic years above high school leading to a bachelor's degree OR Bachelor's degree in a course of study that directly reflects the job-related KSAs/competencies necessary to satisfy the minimum qualifications and perform the duties of the position.
- ✓Substitution of education for the specialized experience requirement at the GS-07 grade level: Bachelor's degree with Superior Academic Achievement or 1 academic year of graduate education (or law school, as specified in qualification standards or individual occupational requirements).
- ✓Superior Academic Achievement: S.A.A. is based on (1) class standing, (2) grade-point average, or (3) honor society membership.
- ✓SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-09 LEVEL: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, or Master's or equivalent graduate degree such as LL.B. or J.D., may be substituted to meet the experience requirement.
- ✓SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE AT GS-11 LEVEL: Three full years of progressively higher level graduate education or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
- ✓To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university.
- ✓You must report only attendance and/or degrees from schools accredited by accrediting institutions that are recognized by the U.S.
- ✓Department of Education Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services at the time of application.
