This position is being filled under the Direct Hire Authority for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense using hiring authority in 5 USC 9905. Veterans Preference: Veterans preference does not apply under this Direct-Hire Authority (DHA).
What You'll Do
- →Prepares technical and summary exhibits for inclusion in the BES and President's Budget submissions.
- →Prepares final agency budget documents for printing and delivery to OSD/OMB, Congress and the public.
- →Writes programming and budgeting policy directives, including the agency Financial Management Manual, necessary to effect improvement in the effectiveness and efficiency of agency financial operations.
- →Monitors and tracks costs, obligations, expenditures, and work-year limitations for assigned accounts.
- →Determines the propriety and cost effectiveness of funding requests.
- →Manages contractors and is able to perform Contracting Officer Responsibility if assigned to do so.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level
