About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas under the Defense Health Agency PEO Medical Systems. The person in this position is a financial planner and manager for various government healthcare and medical research programs. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Leave accrual negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as a budget analyst, performing program planning, execution, and analysis for annual and multi-year budgetary programs.
- →Researches, compiles, and summarizes budgetary data to prepare budget estimates and forecast annual funding needs.
- →Participates in meetings with program officials to advise on program requirements, budget plans, and execution reports.
- →Continuously monitors the review and analysis of assigned programs to ensure appropriations are being obligated in accordance with congressional intent.
- →Performs budget execution work, including monitoring incurred and actual expenditures from different funding sources.
- →Prepares and analyzes reports on the status of funds, identifies conditions of over or under-obligation, and develops recommendations for budgetary adjustments.
- →Selects and applies analytical techniques to assess the effects of budgetary changes and evaluates the significance of conflicting program and budget data.
- →Uses automated financial systems and computer-generated products to accomplish budgetary assignments and ensure accurate, complete, and timely reporting of budget and accounting data.
