About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Enterprise Services, Acquisition located in Indianapolis, IN and Washington, DC. Salary: Salary listed reflects the rest of U.S. scale and, if applicable, will be adjusted to meet the locality pay or cost of living expenses of the duty location upon selection.
What You'll Do
- →This position starts at a salary of $125,776.00 (GS-14, Step 1) to $163,514.00 (GS-14, Step 10).
- →You will serve as a Budget Analyst located within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), U.S.
- →Customs and Border Protection (CBP), in Operations Support, Immediate Office of the Executive Assistant Commissioner (IEAC).
- →While serving as a Budget Analyst, your duties will include: Preparing and analyzing budgetary and financial information to evaluate changes in program plans, funding, and their impact on financial and budget milestones.
- →Advising leadership and program managers on budget planning, funding strategies, and financial management to support acquisition programs and resource allocation decisions.
- →Developing and implementing guidance, policy, and procedures for budget formulation, justification, execution, and review across multi-year budget cycles.
- →Monitoring the execution of approved budgets, tracking obligations and expenditures, and ensuring funds are properly allocated and utilized in support of program objectives.
- →Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to review, consolidate, and present budget estimates, justifications, and reports for department-level and congressional submissions.
