About the Role
This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicare,Contractor Management Group. As a Budget Analyst, GS-0560-13, you will be responsible for the Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) budget formulation and execution for the annual CMS Operating Plan.
What You'll Do
- →Work independently as a project leader to develop refinements to current cost estimation methodologies that include recurring and nonrecurring expenses.
- →Manage project plans, ensuring timely completion of action items and achievement of critical milestones.
- →Review and evaluate programmatic changes through the change management process to determine the financial/budgetary impact on MAC contract requirements and statement of work.
- →Identify, compile, monitor and analyze MAC cost, budget and workload data in order to detect areas of contractor operation performance that may require corrective action.
- →Provide technical support to staff and applies modeling and statistical techniques to forecast financial and key operational performance metrics.
