About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the HQ Air Force Drug Testing Laboratory (HQ AFDTL) resources advisor/budget analyst, performing a variety of budget functions involving the formulation, execution, and analysis of budgets for a Department of the Air Force (DAF) program, serving a beneficiary population of over 500,000 military personnel.
What You'll Do
- →Performs budget formulation work involving preparation of detailed analyses of annual and/or multi-year budget estimates for HQ AFDTL into a consolidated Department of the Air Force Office of Drug Demand Reduction (DAF ODDR) budget request.
- →Performs budget execution and administration work involving the monitoring of current year and prior year obligations incurred and the actual expenditures of a budget with different sources and types of funding.
- →Provides advice, assistance, and guidance on budgeting and related information.
- →Interfaces with OSD, HAF, DFAS, and DAF ODDR to obtain and convey information concerning the HQ AFDTL budget, to resolve budget issues, and to achieve budgetary objectives.
- →Conducts analyses, reviews, and special studies of budget and/or related information.
- →Performs budgetary research and analyses using appropriate analytical methods and techniques to enable accomplishment of DoD ODDR directives, DAF ODDR directives, and HQ AFDTL mission objectives.
- →Uses automated budgetary systems and computer-generated products in accomplishing budgeting assignments.
- →Uses a wide-variety of available automated budgetary systems/information technology (including, but not limited to, DEAMS, GAFS-BQ, CRIS, DMLSS, FM Suite, Mil Suite, ADVANA, and computer software programs) to develop, operate, and maintain HQ AFDTL budgetary assignments and tracking tools.
