About the Role
This position is located with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Location Support Staff, Plains Area, in the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF) in Manhattan, Kansas. In this position, the incumbent will be an integral member of the Administrative Office responsible for the budget and fiscal oversight of the Biological Development Module and 10-year budget plan for NBAF.
What You'll Do
- →Monitor the execution of approved operating budgets.
- →Prepare reports on budget usage to meet the requirements of the Office of Management and Budget and Congress.
- →Make fund adjustments for anticipated project redirection or income from outside sources such as reimbursable and trust fund agreements.
- →Analyze and compile data into spreadsheets and other documents capturing both the type of funds flowing in and out of accounts.
- →Develop recommendations on funds and allotment controls and record information to assure proper apportionment of administrative and program funds.
- →Establish systems to control all appropriated funds and reimbursable accounts, trust fund accounts, and transfers of funds from other USDA components and Federal agencies.
- →Develop internal controls and review procedures, processes, and techniques for use in analyzing data.
Requirements
- ✓You must be a US Citizen or US National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
