What You'll Do
- →Repairs, restores, and conserves rare and delicate books preserving them for future use.
- →Conducts thorough assessments of materials used in books, identifying factors contributing to deterioration.
- →Maintains detailed documentation of conservation processes, including before and after photographs, written reports, and treatment records.
- →Maintains and sharpens hand tools, such as knives and cutting tools.
- →Communicates with clients and stakeholders to understand their preferences; provide advice on binding options; provide recommendations for handling, storing, and displaying books; and ensuring customer satisfaction.

- ✓Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
