You will serve as a BOILER PLANT EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the Public Works Directorate (PWD) Pennsylvania of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC.
What You'll Do
- →You will use meters, gauges, and computer generated data to determine adjustments or corrections necessary for proper boiler operations or changing load requirements.
- →You will adjusts fuel feeds and volume and velocity of draft and other fire box variables to achieve maximum combustion efficiency with changing load demands.
- →You will serve as “operator-in-charge” of the complete plant, on second and third shift.
- →You will monitor and tests the operation of power boiler systems to identify malfunctions and potential problems with equipment such as, automatic controls, valves, piping, pumps, and related components.
- →You will performs preventative and scheduled maintenance on plant systems and equipment including, boiler feed pumps, fuel oil pumps, air compressors, generators, boiler fixtures, combustion fans and water treatment equipment.
