The incumbent will serve as an Aviation Safety Program Compliance Specialist within the System Oversight Division. The Aviation Safety Program Compliance Specialist represents the assigned organization primarily serving as OMT (Organization Management Team) Lead for (ODA) Organization Designation Authorization leading ODA Oversight.
What You'll Do
- →The employee is responsible for bringing diverse viewpoints together, effectively acquiring support for decisions and actions, and anticipates and resolves conflicts by leveraging contributions from the OMT.
- →The Aviation Safety Program Compliance Specialist performs multiple, varying and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager.
- →Acts as OMT Lead for one or more ODA¿s.
- →Applies experience and comprehensive technical knowledge of aviation statutory regulations to ensure compliance.
- →Conducts regulatory compliance reviews, outreach, staffing support, writing, research, and other functions to facilitate Oversight of ODA¿s.
- →Applies regulatory experience and expert technical knowledge of aviation safety regulations, as well as an understanding of new technologies and methodologies, to solve complex problems and develop improved technical processes or systems.
- →Develops plans, techniques, and policies to address current or anticipated problems and issues.
- →Monitors the execution of the program portfolio and its component projects, ensuring that it continues to meet the original design objectives.
- →Plans and implements solutions to address quality control issues and selects appropriate qualitative or quantitative methods to be used in quality control of key safety system programs to assess and identify shortfalls and recommends solutions for preventive action, measure progress, continuous improvement and success.
- →Uses experience planning and implementing projects to define, organize, and assign resources to accomplish organizational objectives.
- →Leverages other resources to accomplish large work activities within established schedules.
- →Works with the manager in defining project scope, goals and deliverable; defining tasks and required resources; collecting and managing project team inputs, managing budget, and allocating project resources.
- →Participates in technical working groups and ad hoc advisory committees.
- →Collaborates and engages in discussions related to the Agency's mission and ensuring the operation and safety of the National Airspace System (NAS).
