About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position serves as a Automotive Mechanic performing the full range of shop and field level work on many types of gasoline and diesel vehicles powered by internal combustion engine, while using specialized testing equipment.
What You'll Do
- →Performs extensive maintenance and repairs to gasoline and diesel vehicles such as trucks, sedans, jeeps, farm equipment, construction equipment, forklifts, generators and trailers.
- →Repairs defective parts of components and systems such as spark plugs, wheel cylinders, mufflers, brakes hoes, fuel pumps, fuel lines, filters.
- →Operates a wide variety of motor vehicles ranging in size to pick up, deliver, and move supplies and materials.
- →Performs operator maintenance on all vehicles operated.
