About the Role
Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Del Rio Sector, Carrizo Springs Station, Carrizo Springs, TX.
What You'll Do
- →This position will allow you to use your knowledge and expertise with the maintenance and repair of government-owned vehicles and equipment.
- →This position starts at an hourly rate of $33.87 (WL-10, Step 1) to $39.53 (WL-10, Step 5).
- →As an Automotive Mechanic Leader, you will serve under the direct technical and administrative supervision of the Automotive Mechanic Supervisor.
- →You will assist with overseeing the sector's automotive and administrative functions.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Obtaining materials or information from supervisors to relay to subordinate employees.
- →Resolving minor complaints or referring those of a more serious nature to higher authority.
- →Recording itemization of parts, materials, and time expended on vehicles or other equipment serviced or repaired.
- →Leading three or more employees in the sector automotive maintenance and repair program and providing on the job training for subordinate employees.
